Preen set to return to London Fashion Week!
One of my all-time labels is returning to London Fashion Week! Preen by Thornton Bregazzi have announced they will be coming back to show their Spring/Summer 2013 at LFW this September. It is an exciting move by the British designer duo, after spending six years showing their designs at New York Fashion Week.
"[We] are delighted to be part of LFW again, it feels great to back on our own turf," Justin Thornton and Thea Bregazzi said in a statement released today.
"It's great to see the Preen mainline collection returning to show in London, they will be an exciting and much anticipated addition to the LFW schedule," added Caroline Rush, chief executive of the British Fashion Council.
Since presenting in New York, Preen has developed a massive celebrity following. Their creations have been worn by a bevy of beauties including Michelle Obama, Gwyneth Paltrow, Blake Lively, Kristen Stewart, Anne Hathaway, Carey Mulligan, Kate Bosworth, Emma Stone, and many more.
September's LFW will be the first since a settlement was reached at the start of this year between the four major fashion weeks. Both London and New York released their schedule dates for the next two years in April after reaching an agreement following an ongoing dispute which also included Milan and Paris over clashing dates. Now that the dust has cleared, we have more more fantastic reason to look forward to London Fashion Week - yay for Preen returning!
